Nature-Based Illustration

We followed up our Nature-Based Creative Writing event with a We followed up our Nature-Based Creative Writing workshop with a Nature-Based ILLUSTRATION event hosted at Art On 1st. The girls took inspiration from the poems they wrote in February, as well as other memories in nature, to create their own masterpieces.

This event is special, because it was our first event planned and led by Wild Wayfarer SoJo Haire. SoJo has been involved in The Wild Way since 2022 until she “aged out” of the program when she turned 15. As a Wayfarer, she now designs and leads her own events! SoJo’s passion is art, and she helped the girls with their paintings by demonstrating how to illustrate various elements in nature.

We also want to give a big shout-out to Art On 1st, a nonprofit art gallery that provides space for local artists as well as classes for adults AND kids. They host Children’s Art Pop-Ups on the last Friday of every month - check them out!
