Mission & Purpose
The Wild Way’s mission is to provide expedition-based, outdoor experiences to girls to build confidence, resiliency, and curiosity.
Why do we want girls to get outside?
Exploration
Outdoor exploration and hands-on learning help girls build confidence and leadership skills. We want to encourage a curious mindset that is open to new experiences and skills.
Education
Outdoor education fosters an appreciation for nature and a sense of environmental stewardship. Girls will learn about the flora, fauna, and geography of our beautiful region and perhaps develop a lifelong passion for the outdoors.
Hobbies
Spending time outside encourages physical activity that is fun and rewarding. Many of the activities that we do (hiking, kayaking, climbing, etc.) are hobbies that girls can continue to practice for years to come.
Support
The Wild Way will create a supportive space for learning and failure. Yes, that’s right – FAILURE! It’s only when we fail that we are truly pushing our limits and can practice resiliency by picking ourselves up and trying again. This is the best opportunity for growth.
* The Wild Way supports diversity and is inclusive of ALL girl-identified youth, including cis, trans, and non-binary girls.
