The Wild Way’s popular PADDLESPORTS CAMP is back for 2024!

We are partnering with American Canoe Association-certified instructor Beth Wiegandt of Camp Bethel/Your Outdoor Classroom again to offer a week-long, summer paddlesports day camp. This camp enrolls girls ages 9 to 14.

This camp includes five (5) sessions from Monday to Friday. Girls will have the opportunity explore several sports, including kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUPing) on the James River in Botetourt County. Girls will learn how to prep and pack their boats, properly paddle each type of watercraft, read the river and navigate small rapids, and learn more about river flora and fauna. This camp is FUN, full of adventure, and one of our most popular events!

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation WILL be provided to the river each day. Parents will drop off their child at approximately 8:30am and pick-up their child at approximately 4:00pm each day at Wasena Park.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
