Kayaking & Fishing: Tuesday, June 25th (click here to enroll)

  • Wasena Park 1001 Winchester Avenue Southwest Roanoke, VA, 24015 United States (map)

It’s o-FISH-ial…we’re going fishing with Beyond Boundaries and VA-Department of Wildlife Resources!

We’re loading up our kayaks for a day of fishing on Carvin’s Cove with Beyond Boundaries (a nonprofit that provides outdoor experiences to individuals with all abilities) and Game Warden Leslie Wright from VA-Department of Wildlife Resources. We’ll hone our kayaking skills, paddle through the cove, and learn about the ins-and-outs of fishing. No paddling experience is necessary, but we do require that participants know how to swim. At this time, The Wild Way is enrolling girls ages 9 to 14.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation WILL be provided to this event. You will drop-off your child at Wasena Park at 8:30am and pick her up at 3:30pm.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
