Calling all girls with a love for creativity and the outdoors! Join us for a Nature-Based Illustration workshop.

Following up on our Nature-Based Creative Writing workshop, we are offering a Nature-Based ILLUSTRATION event for girls ages 9 to 14. We’ll be working with Annie Schultz of Art on 1st and Wild Wayfarer SoJo Haire to learn about different art mediums and capture a beautiful memory in nature through our own mini masterpieces. Beginners to advanced artists are welcome!

Our hope is to compile these illustrations and our poems and memoirs into a keepsake Wild Way Nature Book for each participant.

This class is very casual and no art experience is required - only a love for nature and the desire to express it!

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is NOT provided to this event. Please drop your child off in downtown Roanoke at Art on 1st (300 1st St SW, Roanoke, VA 24011) at 5pm and return for pick-up at 7pm. If transportation is a barrier to participation, please let us know and we will try to find a solution.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
