Calling moms, aunts, grandmas, and all other strong female family leaders: would you like to do more camping and/or backpacking with your family, but you want to learn some basic skills first?

The Wild Way is hosting a special Mother-Daughter Camping Trip on the Jackson River in Covington, VA.

This trip is intended for mothers (or aunts, grandmas, etc.) and daughters to learn camping skills together so that they can feel confident heading into the outdoors on their own.

We will be working with Sierra Club backpacking guide Brendle Wolfe, who will teach you all of the skills you need to go camping and/or backpacking with your family, including how to pitch a tent, build a fire, hang a bear bag, cook over a camping stove, and much more.

We will provide all of the gear (i.e. tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, etc.) that you need; you just need to show up ready to learn and have fun! And if the weather cooperates, there is the definite possibility for some canoeing on the beautiful Jackson River.
