(This camp overlaps with Roanoke County, Botetourt County, and Salem City public school spring breaks.)
Don’t be bored and stuck inside this spring break. Join us for a full week of outdoor adventure, including hiking, climbing, caving, camping skills, and more. At this time, we are enrolling girls ages 9 to 14.
Fees for this camp are on a sliding-scale fee, and this camp is completely FREE to families in-need. Just check the fee waiver button when you enroll!
Transportation is provided to each day’s adventure location; we ask that parents drop-off and pick-up children at Wasena Park. Drop-off is at 8:30am each morning and pick up at 3:30pm. This five-day day camp includes the following adventures*:
- Monday - Hiking and geocaching at the Cascades waterfall in Pembroke, VA
- Tuesday - Low- and high-ropes courses at Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA
- Wednesday - Ecological education at Apple Ridge Farms in Copper Hill, VA, with a visit from some of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center’s rescue animals
- Thursday - Caving in Blacksburg, VA
- Friday - Camping and fire-building at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing in Craig County, VA
*Locations and activities may change based on weather and group ability.
PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
