Strength and resistance training is a fun and exciting way to develop physical and mental strength, and it’s especially important for women’s health.
The Wild Way is working with Community Unify Roanoke to hold an “Intro to Strength Training” workshop for girls. We’ll talk about why strength training is so important for women’s health and cover some basic movements that you can do in a gym and at home.
Strength training isn’t just about having a strong body; it’s also about having a strong mind and getting outside of your comfort zone in a healthy way!
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is NOT provided to this event. Please drop your child off at Community Unify Roanokeat 10:30am and return for pick-up at 12pm. If transportation is a barrier to participation, please let us know and we will try to find a solution.
PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
