Does nature inspire you?
Calling all girls with a passion for creativity and the outdoors! Join us for a Nature-Based Creative Writing Workshop.
This laid-back, two-hour workshop will encourage girls to explore storytelling and poetry under the guidance of local author Cyndy Unwin. We will talk about different writing styles and do some fun exercises to spark inspiration and excitement, and then the girls write their own nature-inspired short story or poem.
Remember, EVERYONE can be a writer! This workshop is casual and beginner-friendly.
Strong minds and bodies
The Wild Way held an "Intro to Strength Training" event at Community Unify Roanoke in January. Strength training is a versatile skill for women of all ages; it is a way proven way to build a healthier body and mind, and it also helps us improve at other sports or activities that we love. We incorporated core, lower body, and upper body strength movements into relays, obstacle courses, and other games. These girls know how much fun fitness can be!
We are honored and excited to be a recipient of a Delta Dental "Smile Tank" award in 2025!
Delta Dental has granted us $5,000 to support the enrollment of low-income and in-need girls in our confidence-building, outdoor programming. Thank you, Delta Dental!
