Basic knowledge of river safety and rescue is important for ANYONE who loves to spend time on the water.

American Canoe Association-certified paddlesports instructor Beth Wiegandt will be spending the afternoon with us reviewing water safety and then the girls will have the chance to practice river rescue scenarios. Girls will feel empowered knowing that they have the skills to stay safe while having FUN! And there will be plenty of time to swim and play in the James River as well.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation WILL be provided. Parents will drop off their child at 9:30am and pick-up their child at 2:30pm at Wasena Park.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE for families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
