First Aid Training: Thursday, February 6th (click here to enroll)

  • Melrose Branch Library 2502 Melrose Avenue Northwest Roanoke, VA, 24017 United States (map)

The Wild Way is offering a Basic First Aid class for girls ages 11 to 14.

Note: This event is now FULL. You can still sign up to join our waiting list.

Whether your girl is gearing up for outdoor adventures, preparing for a summer job, babysitting, or just curious about healthcare, this class is a great way to learn the basics.

We are partnering with Roanoke CPR to provide a 2-hour, after-school class that will result in basic first aid certification. The class will cover essential first aid skills for real-life situations and how to stay calm and take charge in emergencies. What could be a better confidence-builder than knowing that you have the skills to care for yourself and others?

This is a collaborative event with our partner Scouts BSA-Blue Ridge Mountains Council. Sign up today, because spots are limited!

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is NOT provided to this event. Please drop your child off at Melrose Branch Library at 5pm and return for pick-up at 7pm. If transportation is a barrier to participation, please let us know and we will try to find a solution.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
